Creating a professional engraved logo onto a beer glass is a reasonably simple process depending on the complexity of the logo provided. Follow these few simple guidelines to produce a professional result!
There are several factors which the engraver must take into consideration which contributes to a professional finish. Ideally the original artwork MUST be of sufficient quality to engrave. If the image is not provided in at least 250-300 dpi or larger than the area to be engraved then the artwork must be redrawn.
It is quite common for customers to provide logos which are downloaded straight from the Internet, for example copying and pasting their website company logo directly into a paint software package. Unfortunately these type of images tend to be optimised for the web, ie small file sizes at 72 dots per inch and are not suitable for engraving. In this situation the logo will need to be redrawn. This process can be labour intensive depending on the complexity of the logo itself.
The achieve a great looking logo beer glass, an image provided at 300dpi, larger than the engraving area is ideal for engraving. Even better, if the logo has different shades of grey it is possible to engrave different shades even onto a glass. This can only be performed on high powered laser engraving machines. This is not possible, or at least even practical using a traditional rotary engraving machine.
We use a state of the art laser engraving machine to achieve a frosted appearance onto any type of glass. The result is very similar to a sandblasted glass however the process of laser engraving is much more cost effective and ideal for engraving complex logos.

This pint glass is ideal for engraving logos due to the shape of the glass which is less curved than a tulip pint glass and can be laid flat in the engraving machine.
